Church Chic
Today I went over to a bunch of the museums at Gallerina Pallatina, and had some free time this afternoon. As I was walking around the extremely hot and dry Boboli Gardens, and several museums, and walking walking walking, I was dressed appropriately for the heat–a miniskirt and tank top.
I had some free time, so I figured I would visit the San Lorenzo. I pay my 2,50 euros, and when I get in the front door, the guy goes, “Tshirt?” I don’t have anything, so he hands me a scarf, which I wrap around my shoulders. Then he hands me another one, and motions for me to tie it around my waist. It is past my knees, and I am laughing so hard he has to put it on for me. I looked totally ridiculous. The art was nice inside, but I don’t think I’m going to be visiting too many more churches. Only the important ones. I don’t have enough non miniskirts/non tanktops to be visiting churches every day.
